Pharmsmart began with a simple but important goal: to put animal health back in the hands of those who truly understand livestock. After seeing large multinationals step away from the livestock health space, founder Jim Curkpatrick knew there was a better way, one that prioritised farmers, not shareholders.
What started with reintroducing trusted brands like Vetrazin, Pyrimide, and Rametin has grown into a nationwide operation with full-scale manufacturing capabilities. In 2023, we opened our solar-powered Sunshine Coast facility, giving us complete control over product quality, consistency, and supply, all from Aussie soil. Pharmsmart does things differently because livestock producers deserve better. We’re proudly Australian-owned, delivering effective, ethical animal health solutions built for rural life.

Jim Curkpatrick
With more than 20 years in animal health and agri-tech, Jim Curkpatrick founded Pharmsmart to address a growing gap in the industry. Drawing on his commercial expertise and deep connection to rural Australia, Jim set out to create a company that puts farmers first, delivering practical solutions, proven results, and livestock health products made for real Australian conditions.
His mission remains simple: respect the people on the land, support their livelihoods, and keep animal health innovation local.
