Pyrimide™ is the only triple drench that remains stable in suspension. So you can be sure every sheep you drench gets their full dose of all three active ingredients.

Alongside the powerful triple-active, Pyrimide™ also provides selenium and cobalt supplementation.

Pyrimide™ is indicated for the treatment and control of:

  • Gastrointestinal roundworms (Nematodes)
  • Lungworm
  • Itchmite
  • Nasal bot (Larval stages)

These parasites are sensitive to one or more of the avermectin/milbemycin, benzimidazole (white), or levamisole/morantel (clear) anthelmintic families, including strains that show single or dual resistance to these families (such as moxidectin-resistant strains) in sheep.

Pyrimide™ is a triple combination sheep drench containing:

  • 0.8 g/L Abamectin
  • 25.5 g/L Levamisole (as Levamisole Hydrochloride)
  • 20 g/L Albendazole
  • 0.4 g/L Selenium (as Sodium Selenate)
  • 1.76 g/L Cobalt (as Cobalt EDTA).

Important Safety Information

IMPORTANT:

  • Prior to use, please consult the product label for complete instructions.
  • Harmful if inhaled. Poisonous if swallowed. Will irritate eyes and skin. Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • When opening the container and using the product wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrists (or equivalent clothing) and elbow-length chemical resistant gloves.

  • If the product contacts eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use. After each day’s use, wash gloves and contaminated clothing.

FOR MILK: 

DO NOT USE in sheep which are producing or may in the future produce milk where the milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.

FOR MEAT:

DO NOT USE less than 14 days before slaughter for human consumption.

DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for export.

DO NOT re-treat animals for 42 days after last treatment.

DIRECTIONS:

Dose orally without dilution using standard, properly calibrated drenching equipment at a dose rate of 1 mL/4kg body weight.

DO NOT underdose. Dose to the heaviest animal in each group. Representative animals should be weighed. Where there is a large variation in weight within a group, draft into two or more lines to avoid excessive overdosing.

Recommended Applicator:

20 mL or 30 mL drench gun. After use wash with warm, soapy water and rinse with clean water.

This product should not be used when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by other means (such as top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches) if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their veterinarian.

DO NOT administer to sheep that are dehydrated or unwell.

DO NOT administer to lambs less than 6 weeks of age.

Dogs or horses should not be drenched with this product.

Resistance may develop to any chemical. Ask your local veterinary practitioner or animal health advisor for recommended parasite management practices for your area to reduce the development of resistance. It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted before any parasite treatment is used.

Avoid withholding feed from weak, pregnant and young animals. Exercise care in handling sheep and avoid unnecessary stress. The recommended dose rate should not be exceeded.

CSIRO studies show that the efficacy of both abamectin and albendazole (two of the active ingredients of Pyrimide™) are enhanced by withholding feed for up to 24 hours before drenching. However, field experience indicates that withholding water and feed will make sheep more susceptible to levamisole toxicity. Drought conditions may increase this risk. Before use of Pyrimide™, it is recommended that water has been continuously available and feed either not withheld, or withheld for not more than 12 hours.
