Fight Back Against Resistance

Pyrimide™ LV is a combination drench that packs a triple-active punch against internal parasites of sheep and cattle that have resistance to common drench families.

In sheep, Pyrimide™ LV is indicated for the treatment and control of internal parasites, including those resistant to the following drench families:

  • Macrocyclic Lactone (ML)
  • Benzimidazole (BZ)
  • Levamisole (LEV)

In cattle, Pyrimide™ LV is indicated for the treatment and control of internal parasites resistant to the Macrocyclic Lactone (ML) drench family.

Pyrimide™ LV also provides selenium and cobalt supplementation.

Pyrimide™ LV is a triple combination drench containing:

  • 2g/L Abamectin
  • 80g/L Levamisole
  • 3g/L Oxfendazole
  • 5g/L Cobalt (as Cobalt EDTA)
  • 1g/L Selenium (as Sodium selenate)

Important Safety Information

IMPORTANT:

  • Prior to use, please consult the product label for complete instructions.

  • Harmful if inhaled. Poisonous if swallowed. Will irritate eyes and skin. Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders.
     
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin. 

  • When opening the container and using the product wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrists (or equivalent clothing) and elbow-length chemical resistant gloves.

  •  If the product contacts eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use. After each day’s use, wash gloves and contaminated clothing.

FOR MEAT (CATTLE, SHEEP):

DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for human consumption.

 

FOR MILK: (CATTLE)

DO NOT USE in lactating cows or within 28 days of calving where milk or milk products will be used for human consumption. If cows calve earlier than 28 days after treatment, milk may contain residues. This milk MUST NOT be used for human consumption, or supplied for processing for at least 28 days following treatment. Calves fed this milk should not be slaughtered for human consumption within 21 days.

EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL

CATTLE:

DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for export.

SHEEP:

DO NOT USE less than  28 days before slaughter for export.

RE-TREATMENT INTERVAL (CATTLE, SHEEP)

DO NOT re-treat animals for 28 days after last treatment.

DIRECTIONS:

Dose orally without dilution using standard, properly calibrated drenching equipment at a dose rate of 1 mL/10kg body weight for SHEEP and CATTLE.

DO NOT underdose. Dose to the heaviest animal in each group. Representative animals should be weighed. Where there is a large variation in weight within a group, draft into two or more lines to avoid excessive overdosing.

Recommended Applicator:

15 mL or 30 mL drench gun. After use wash with warm, soapy water and rinse with clean water.

RESTRAINTS

  • DO NOT USE in ewes which are producing or may in the future produce milk that may be used or processed for human consumption.

  • DO NOT USE in lambs weighing 15 kg or less.

  • DO NOT USE in calves weighing 100 kg or less.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Contraindicated for use in lambs under six (6) weeks of age or weighing 15 kg or less.

  • Contraindicated for use in calves less than 16 weeks of age or weighing 100 kg or less.

  • Contraindicated for use when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by other means (such as pasture top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches)if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their veterinarian.

  • This product should not be used in dogs, horses or any other pets.

  • This product is not recommended for use in goats as safety and efficacy have not been evaluated.
