Up to 14 weeks blowfly strike protection

Developed to protect your sheep from strike in the harshest Australian conditions, Vetrazin™ Liquid has become a mainstay of the Australian sheep industry.

One application will give your sheep up to 14 weeks protection against Blowfly (Lucilia cuprina) strike, including organophosphate resistant strains.

The active ingredient in Vetrazin™ is cyromazine, an insect growth regulator, which breaks the fly life cycle before the larvae cause any injury to your animals.

As a water soluble suspension, you can apply Vetrazin™ liquid to your sheep by hand jetting or by dipping. Just mix the product 2:1000 and choose the application method that best suits your operation.

You can also use Vetrazin Liquid to dress flystruck sheep.

Important Safety Information

  • Prior to use, please consult the product label for complete instructions.
  • May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • When opening the container and preparing the dip or jetting fluid, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat and elbow-length PVC gloves.
  • When using the prepared dip or jetting fluid, wear protective waterproof clothing, PVC or rubber apron, elbow-length PVC gloves, face shield and water resistant footwear.
  • After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash gloves, face shield and contaminated clothing.
  • After treatment wait until sheep are dry before rehandling.

FOR MILK:

DO NOT USE in sheep which are producing or may in the future produce milk products that may be used for human consumption.

FOR WOOL:

DO NOT USE less than 2 months before shearing or fibre collection.

FOR MEAT:

DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.

DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for export.

DO NOT use on sheep with less than six weeks wool growth.

20 mL or 30 mL drench gun. After use wash with warm, soapy water and rinse with clean water.

This product should not be used on open wounds e.g. wounds resulting from marking or mulesing operations.
